Lou’s son, Chuck, began to take a larger role in the company during the 1950s. He obtained the Ford Tractor franchise, opened a new branch in Peoria, became a State of Illinois certified truck testing facility, and recognized the potential of selling Kubota tractors which enabled the company to become the oldest and largest Kubota dealer in Illinois.

L.E. German Implement Company continued to expand and opened another branch in East Peoria, Illinois. Meanwhile, Chuck German was honored by being
elected the President of the North American Equipment Dealers Association.
